'Canon' Colby ends up in an alternate universe where Charlie was killed by the sniper and Don's an alcoholic, Alan blames Don for Charlie's death, David's probably a bit of an alcoholic because he's the one that took Charlie to the scene, and the Colby of the AU is dead because Charlie wasn't there to push the team into trusting him and rescuing him from the freighter. Needless to say, 'canon' Colby comes home feeling rather grateful that Charlie's still around in his universe.
