This was quite a surprise, coming after so long, but I'm really happy to know people are still reading the older stuff. I'm glad you liked the "what's going on" aspect - it's something I play with quite a lot, although I would have rated this one only moderate in that regard!
Prehensile is one of my favourite words. It's not used enough. I also like "tribulation" and "elevate" (I know it's a pretty common word, but it's so...elevating!).
