Numb3rs Flashfiction

Because there have been no challenge responses posted here in many months, and I don’t really have my head in the Numb3rs game at the moment, Numb3rs Flashfic will be going on indefinite hiatus.

The community will not be deleted, nor will posting be disallowed. All of the existing prompts will remain open if anyone wants to write them and post their fic here, but no new challenges will be posted in the immediate future.

Thanks so much to everyone who has participated in the years since this comm was created.

The holiday season is upon us and for many of us, RL is getting in the way of fandom fun. For that reason there will be no new challenge issued this week. Instead, we’ll hold an Amnesty Period, with the additional reminder that all of the past challenges remain open for writing, even after the challenge has been officially closed.

The Amnesty Period will end on Saturday, January 5.

You can find the complete list of past challenges here. Remember to post your fic here at the comm, but since it’s for a past challenge, it doesn’t have to be exclusive to this comm for the ‘challenge period’.

Phew! 94 fic. I didn't realize we'd had that many fic posted here over the last year. Yay! Anyway, they've all been tagged with the author's name, so you'll be able to search tags by author name in future.

Don’t forget, you can always respond to a past challenge if it *cough* stimulates your muse. *g* Just remember that the fic must be posted here in the community and you need to include the challenge in the subject line so we know where to stick it in Memories.

She's actually made us a couple banners, one with Don and Charlie (currently uploaded) and one with the season one cast (with the possibility of a third with the full cast when she has a chance), and we'll be alternating them...at some point. *g*

Welcome to the Numb3rs Flashfiction community!

If you’re familiar with other flashfiction communities, then you know what we’re going to be doing here, if not, then let me fill you in. *g*

numb3rsflashfic in a nutshell:

Challenges will be posted once every two weeks and you will then have two weeks to respond to the challenge. While the challenge remains open, your story must be posted only to numb3rsflashfic. Once a challenge has been closed, you are free to cross-post your story to your own LJ, website, archive, or anywhere else.

All ratings, pairings (gen, het, slash and femslash), and genres are welcome here, as long as the story satisfies the conditions of the challenge. No Real Person Fic is allowed, however.

Your fic should be at least 100 words in length. There is no maximum size, but short fic are both welcomed and encouraged.

Only challenge responses should be posted here. This is not the comm for questions or announcements or pimping your own communities. Any OT posts will be deleted.

Please suggest challenges! Challenge suggestions should be posted in the comments section of the previous challenge post, or in any other mod post.
