LA sweats tonight... A/C dead in the blackout, sirens singing the blues as cops clash, citizens crash, smash windows.

Midnight and 90 degrees in hell. The cool night breeze ran off to Vegas with Mr. Sandman so nobody's going to get any shuteye.

So they fuck.

Sweaty, sticky sex with no grace and no patience, no love and no sweetness. Just a way to ride out the heat, revel in it with the promise of the cool relief of a shower after, a skinny dip in the pool, a summer swim in the sea...

Amita's got the top down on her convertible and doesn't care who sees her straddle Charlie's lap and ride him hard - hair up messy in a clip because it's too damn hot to have that much hair.

Don pushes up Liz's skirt on the balcony where they offer themselves up in supplication for a single breeze to kiss their bare skin.

For a moment they float away - above the streets, above the city, bliss scraping heaven...

Then gravity claims them once again and drags them back down to the heated earth.

Thanks. If you can't guess, it's been *hot* here, thus the inspiration. The funny thing is my first impulse was to call this Hot Hot Heat, but I already have heat wave inspired fic with that name from last year! LOL! I am trying to do more visuals which I am not good with, but I could see Amita and Charlie clearly from high above and a bit of Don and Liz too.

That and I wanted a cool shower after. Hehehe

I must admit, I'm beginning to forget what heat is... Considering it's nearly July, our weather is more like October than summer. Loads of rain, some nasty humidity at times and high winds. Still, at least we haven't had the horrors of Karachi.

I'm sure I've reused fic titles in different fandoms... Personally, I can do the visuals, but suck at the dialogue and emotions. Especially emotions. Which isn't good for a budding psychologist, really!
